COVID Safety Measures and Protocol

The health and safety of the community is the primary concern of the leadership of the Houston center and the  SYDA Foundation. In order to achieve that goal, these measures are in effect for everyone who attends an event in the center or any of the people participating in a center seva team.

If you are not feeling well, if you have any COVID symptoms, have tested positive for COVID in the past 10 days, or believe you may have been exposed to COVID, we ask that you do not attend an event at the Houston Center.

Everyone is required to be fully vaccinated, including one booster, and wear a mask at all times while inside the Houston center. Vaccine documentation is not required.

Everyone attending an event will be asked to sign a waiver document that will also allow contact tracing if another participant reports an illness. These documents will be kept in a secure location and will be shredded when no longer needed. The identity of anyone reporting an illness will not be shared with others.

You are asked to bring your own water, blankets, and any needed supplies.

Darshan will be performed while standing and without forming a line.

During the initial events, a greeter may be available to assist in paperwork and seating. Seating in the hall will be limited to a total 18 participants and seva team members. Chairs will be arranged in a manner to allow for social distancing.

Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes will be available at all times. Air flow from the AC/heating unit is being diverted and at least one air purifier will be provided in the hall area.

A weekly cleaning schedule will be maintained.
